Our story
Granja Labrada — a farm to share with the horses
Family-run in Grañas do Sor (Mañón, Ortegal), at the edge of Galicia's Geopark.
Come and discover it

The team
Sara, Mar and the horses. Simple.
We came here looking for a place away from noise and rush — somewhere we could live with our horses at the pace they set, without pressure or a tight schedule.
Today we share that rhythm with anyone who wants to breathe it in for a few days.
The horses
A small herd we know one by one
Slow horsemanship — that mix of trust, listening and time you only build by being around them every day.
Our horses live as a herd, barefoot and outdoors, free to move, socialise and make their own choices. Their way of life gives them that calm, reliable character people notice as soon as they meet them. Horses being horses.
The relationship we build with them is based on trust — and that's exactly what they share with you when you come.

The land
Ortegal — a slow place to come back to
Oak forests, rivers, the wildest stretch of the Atlantic coast. A centuries-old stone and wood house, lovingly restored. A small hamlet lost among hills, forests and meadows, in the far north of Galicia. A short step from the Ortegal coast, where the sea quietens down and the cliffs look out onto the end of the world.
No noise reaches here. No rush. Only the murmur of the river, the sound of hooves in the meadow and the Atlantic wind telling stories.
Rhythm
Imagine a day on the farm
Coffee in the barn, watching the mist lift from the valley and the birds start to sing.
A horse activity at your own pace, or a walk through oaks, hollies and chestnuts, exploring the secret corners of the farm.
A trip out to the coast, a long nap, an unfinished book. Boredom feels different here.
The sky fading slowly. The horses grazing in silence. A quiet dinner. The stars. Not much more (and nothing less).
Philosophy
Our commitment...
To the horses
Life as a herd and in freedom, never in boxes, never alone. Respectful handling that always puts their wellbeing first.
To the people
Small groups where every person matters. Close support and a safe space to enjoy the farm at your own pace.
To the land
Care for the landscape and the rural setting. We're part of this place, and we share its care with our neighbours.
History
How it all started
In 2019 we landed in this small hamlet with three horses and a lot of enthusiasm. We didn't have a fixed plan — just the idea of living slowly, closer to what mattered to us: the horses and the land.
What began as a dream grew into what it is today: a rural guesthouse, a free-roaming herd and a handful of people who come back every year to remember that life doesn't have to move so fast.
Every stay is different. Every visit adds something. And every horse has its own page in this story.
