The Apartamento takes up a third of the house and holds much of its memory: a schoolteacher and a blacksmith once lived here. It keeps the old village layout, nooks and all, which we've updated without stripping out its soul. Some details are best told by the house itself. The bathroom is generous, with a curved wall that's nothing other than the back of the old bread oven. And in the garden, the natural spring that supplied water in winter is still there, now marked with a stone from the house's original windows — narrow and tall, like a castle's arrow-slit. It's the farm's whole-house option: independent, sleeping up to eight, with its own kitchen, sitting room, bedrooms, a large bathroom and a porch onto the garden. For coming with your people and settling in at your own pace.
